I feel like one of The Three Stooges and then there is the Sovereignty of God ???
Do you ever feel like in your relationship with God one of the Three Stooges ? I love the show when they did whose on first, whose on second. God where are you and where am I in this situation ? Do I wait for you to do it ? Do I try fixing this mess myself ?
God is in control right evangelicals ! But my life often feels out of control. My charismatic friends react differently to how i do and they say we have authority for stuff I thought You only had authority for.
So whose theology is correct about who you really are God and who I am ?
Do I ask you Lord ? Some do this declare it thing ???? Some cast out devils. I thought I just pray the Our Father and you do it . When I get sick do I say “If it is your will heal me ?” Some say its ours for the taking. You healed us 2000 years ago and do not even say you are sick. Just say out loud I am healed. But that seems dumb to alot of us when we are walking around with cancer. Moe, Larry and Curly I do not think were even Christians, but we look foolish to each other and those who do not even believe in you when we tell them stuff that are 180 degree polar opposites.
Quotes
“What do we mean by [the sovereignty of God]? We mean the supremacy of God, the kingship of God, the god-hood of God. To say that God is Sovereign is to declare that God is God. To say that God is Sovereign is to declare that He is the Most High, doing according to His will in the army of Heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth, so that none can stay His hand or say unto Him what doest Thou? (Dan. 4:35). To say that God is Sovereign is to declare that He is the Almighty, the Possessor of all power in Heaven and earth, so that none can defeat His counsels, thwart His purpose, or resist His will (Psa. 115:3). To say that God is Sovereign is to declare that He is “The Governor among the nations” (Psa. 22:28), setting up kingdoms, overthrowing empires, and determining the course of dynasties as pleaseth Him best. To say that God is Sovereign is to declare that He is the “Only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords” (1 Tim. 6:15). Such is the God of the Bible.” A. W. Pink, The Sovereignty of God, chapter 1.practice).
